Overview

SK Services provides custom digital work — website development, Google Ads management, design, and related services. Because each project involves real time, labor, and often third-party costs from the moment it starts, our refund policy works differently from a retail return policy. This page sets out exactly where refunds do and don't apply.

Deposits

Non-refundable once work starts. The advance payment (deposit) required to begin a project becomes non-refundable once we begin work on your project — including discovery, planning, design, or development. This reflects the time and resources committed on our end from day one.

If you cancel before any work has started, we'll refund your deposit in full, minus any payment processing fees already incurred.

Milestone Payments

For projects billed across multiple milestones, each milestone payment becomes non-refundable once that milestone has been completed and delivered to you. If a project is cancelled partway through, you're responsible for payment for all completed milestones, and any milestone in progress will be billed on a pro-rata basis for the work completed.

Cancellations

You can request to cancel a project at any time by contacting us in writing. Upon cancellation:

  • Any completed milestones or delivered work remain billable in full
  • Your non-refundable deposit is retained, as described above
  • Any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (domains, licenses, stock assets) are non-refundable
  • Work completed but not yet delivered may be provided to you at our discretion, on receipt of payment for that portion

Domain Registrations

Where we register a domain name on your behalf, domain fees are passed through from the registrar and are non-refundable once purchased, in line with standard domain registry policy. This applies whether or not the associated project proceeds to completion.

Hosting Activation

Non-refundable after activation. Hosting fees become non-refundable once a hosting plan has been activated on your behalf, as this typically involves an immediate cost to our hosting provider. If you cancel before activation, any hosting fee already collected will be refunded in full.

Custom Work & Partial Refunds

Because our deliverables — custom code, designs, ad campaigns, and content — are built specifically for your business, they can't be "returned" or resold the way a physical product can. As a result, completed custom work is generally not eligible for a refund once delivered and approved.

That said, if we fail to deliver a milestone that was fully paid for and it becomes clear the work won't be completed as agreed, we'll assess a partial refund on a case-by-case basis, reflecting the portion of paid work not delivered.

Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, we aim to process it within 7–14 business days, using the original payment method where possible. Refund timelines beyond that point are typically dependent on your bank or payment provider, which is outside our control.

Chargebacks & Disputes

If you have a concern about a payment, we ask that you contact us directly first so we can try to resolve it — most issues can be sorted out faster this way than through a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback for work that has already been delivered, without first raising the issue with us, may result in suspension of ongoing services and further collection action for the disputed amount.

Taxes

Where applicable, taxes (such as GST) are charged in addition to our quoted fees in line with local regulations. Refunds, where approved, are issued net of any non-recoverable transaction or processing fees.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and the version in effect at the time your project begins is the version that applies to that engagement.

Contact

If you have questions about a payment, deposit, or potential refund, reach out — we'd rather talk it through than leave you guessing.
